I'm looking for a good camera repair shop in Suffolk that does the repairs in house and doesn't charge outrageous prices. Anyone have any referrals? I'm in Ronkonkoma, but looking pretty much wherever in suffolk (just not too far out east).
The only camera shop that comes to mind is L&L Camera in Huntington. They'll take a look at your camera for no charge and tell you if whatever is wrong is fixable or not.
Yeah I actually know what the problem is. What I'm hoping to find is a shop that will work with me on the price if I do some of the work myself. I figured out how to do about 3/4 of it I just need someone to do the rest, and I'm trying to avoid having to pay for a full repair.

I've used Berger Brothers in Amityville and also Cameta Camera in Amityville (both on Route 110, south of Sunrise Highway) but Berger Bros can be a little pricey on repairs.

Thats because they dont do the repairs...they send them out and mark them up.
Yeah I realized that early on in my research, that a lot of places send them out, so I know to ask. I wish there were some good places closer to ronkonkoma. I found a listing for the Camera Clinic in Islip but they number I got was disconnected. I'm thinking of Cameta Camera at this point. I wanna try Labelle next to Smith Haven Mall but that's the guy who said to just buy a new camera even though it was a relatively simple fix, so I don't know if I trust them
