I saw this story on Newsday.

While I think Michael Jackson is a weirdo, the fact is he was found not guilty. The other fact is that he is a music icon. The media attention has been too much IMO but I see why it's being done. Politicians need to learn to pick their battles better.

Well he was never even charged in the one case where he gave the kid $20 million to shut up. That's a lot of money to be handing out if you're supposedly innocent. I don't care how rich you are.

Very true... it reaks of guilt, but as I said he was never found guilty. Don't get me wrong, I am not defending him. I'd never let my kids sleep over his house! But to be fair, there's still no proof he did anything.

exactly. and that wasnt the only time he was accused of sexual molesation and paid off the victims. If I was innocent, I would have gone to trial instead of forking over the kind of money to someone.

They didn't convict OJ either but.....we all know where this is going. Honestly he was a freak, a talented freak but a freak, period. He "allegedly" commited IMO one of the worst crimes one can do to another multiple times, and dies of an overdose. It's done, it's over lets all move on. Well until the next disgraced freak superstar dies in a puddle of their own vomit and then we'll go nuts again.

Another question, how much leeway does "genius" buy you?

Most of the jurors said they thought he was guilty but there was "reasonable doubt". The standard to prove a civil case is much lower, hence the payoff.

If Rev. Al can say the ****e he's been saying, then P. King is certainly entitled to fire back.
