Once I got a letter in the mail from the police department around Washington D.C.. I opened it and it was a fine for turning right on red where it was posted "no turn on red". The other page was the photo of my car from the camera.
So I laid out $145 on my table and took a picture of it and mailed it back in with the fine. They never contacted me again.Moderator cut: language, please ! lol.

I heard this story once. I am not saying you didn't do it but the story I heard involved the police replying to this alleged photo of money sent to them. They sent back a photo of handcuffs.
One guy says he goes through the EZ Pass lanes that don't have a gate too.
I think all this crap is BS. I think Mythbusters attempted to debunk this in addition to all the ideas for fooling radar/laser guns from cops clocking cars from speed traps. None of these things ever work.
You might as well just get a real dark tinted plate cover and hope it is dark enough to block out the letters and numbers of your plate. You also have to hope you don't get stopped because its illegal to have anything obstructing the license plate tag in any way. Chances are, if they bag you for something else, they would probably address this.
