How about those beat up vans which end up graffiti-laden, dented up and rusty from being in service in the city? Do you want to look at that every evening when you return home from work, or on weekends while you're sprucing up the yard?
I get your point but seriously? I would be more concerned with my own business than ensuring my trip home was 100% scenic and without problems.

By being concerned with your own business I would wager that you maintain your home and take pride in ownership. A lettered commercial vehicle in the neighbor's drive is going to detract from your home. It's a good neighbor issue on both sides of the street.
If someone bought in an area where commercial vehicles in the driveway is the norm and starts complaining, I have no sympathy. However if the home is in an area where code prohibits commercial vehicles from being in the driveway, the homeowner has a legit gripe.

As long as the truck isn't plastered with obscene messages or a dirty business, does it really matter or are we just nitpicking? I'd rather see a JOES PLUMBING van in a driveway with the owner inside than a run down house because the person can't afford to do anything to it.

It does matter. Commercial vehicles shouldn't be stored outside in residential areas. Whether it's Nipples AC or Joe's Plumbing, it belongs back at the commercial office OR inside the businessman's home garage.
What happened to people minding their own business?
It is affecting him since the truck guy is telling him where he can and can't park. It's not just a "seeing a truck out his window" kind of problem.
I have a guy down the block who parks his huge CATerpillar service truck in his driveway. I have no problem with it since it's out of my sight but his neighbors can't see a damned thing around it and I'm sure it's not exactly a welcome sight to anyone looking to buy in the area.
OH MY GAWD!!! MY NEIGHBOR PUT UP A MEDIUM BROWN DOOR!!! WHO DOES THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
HE SHOULD BE PUTTING UP A LIGHT BROWN DOOR!!! CAN I SUE??? WILL THE POLICE COME AT ONCE IF I CALL THEM???
I've got a worse problem than you. My gorgeous bikini model neighbor does her gardening in the summer fully clothed. Who does this??? She should be out in a bikini or nude.
