Hello all

Just a quick q about the parking situation at these two LIRR stations. Which is better? And which is a better station overall . I may be moving into the area soon but I work in the city so I was xurious as to what my best option is.

Thanks!!!!

I'm not too sure about those statios as I don't use that line, but you may want to consider the Mineola station. They have built a parking garage, so parking isn't an issue. However it does cost $5 per day to park there, but the benefit of using Mineola is that many trains stop there.

I'm not sure about the parking, but trains from Garden City are much more frequent and faster. If my memory is serving me correctly, both have extremely tiny parking lots, I know West Hempstead does. I can't remember where the "Garden City" station itself even is (there are something like 5 LIRR stations in GC).

If the lots are of similar size, one potential benefit to WH might be that it's a less frequently used branch so you might have an easier time finding a spot.

West Hempstead service is much less though, with very little direct service to Penn, usually you have to change, plus the area around the train station is very seedy.
