In the small town of Lake Ariel (exit 17 off Interstate 84) they have the best fireworks. It's a reall small town atmosphere. Everyone puts out their lawn chairs and blankets on someone's (private) lawn across from the lake. The fireworks are so big and in your face that last year the fire department had to move everyone back. The year before that they had to hose down the roof to the house. Lot's of fun!
ok, Forget PA...where are we all going on LI to see fireworks? I don't think I'm going to do the drive or boat thing to see them at jones beach this year......gas conservation and too much traffic!
I will be in PA for the 4th of July. Does anyone know of any firework displays going on in NEPA?
Try Camelback Mountain in Tannersville. You can go to the waterpark and stay until the fireworks. Very well done. The park is very clean and modern and the food is good.

On Thursday night (07/03/08) there is a great free display at PNC Field (baseball stadium) on Montage Mountain (7:30 pm). The NEPA Philharmonic plays and it's a really nice family night out. There is also a great display at Abington Heights High School (dusk) on Thursday night and on Friday the 4th a good option is Lake Wallenpaupak (9:15 pm)--the fireworks over the lake are really nice and my last suggestion is on the 4th @ Kiby Park in Wilkes Barre (dusk) . Enjoy!!
