Have read great things on here about living in Dix Hills. Can anyone share any negatives or things they don’t care for about DH or HHH?

Hard to find a house that doesn’t have highway noise
All busing. No walk to school.
Few neighborhoods where you can walk to Amenities and have sidewalks

Kinda busy. Even on the side roads, people tend to drive fast, completely ignore stop signs.

Depends on where....but basically, there's not "There there"....it's just a zip code.

ignore this nonsense. Dix Hills and Wyandanch barely even border each other.

I like Dix Hills. It is amazing to have a community that looks semi rural yet so close to the LIE and the Northern State in western Suffolk. Many fairly decent sized homes and properties as well.

Rocafeller points out one of the few real negatives. There is no downtown or any real center to the community. However, there is still plenty of shopping and stores in nearby Commack, Deer Park or along Rte 110.

Nah. Spent a lot of time there. Friends and such.
Aside from the dozens of pools I built there.
