TERMITES! eek! (Long Beach: new home, inspector, closing)

we have termites in our new home - sold to us "as is".

what are our options? What have you other LI homeowners found to be effective?

What was the first sign you had termites?

Was a termite inspection done? It comes with a 1 year warranty so I would start with them.

I tend to stay away from large chains and stick with smaller companies that have been around.

Termites are just a way of life on Long Island, especially closer to the shores. We had them in Long Beach. Even though we treated for them they still made an appearance and the inspector found eveidence of them when we sold our house. We agreed to pay for additional treatment at closing.
