A while back there was a "discrepancy" issue at a TD branch (possibly more than one), and since then they have removed them from all branches. Don't know if it was real, but the bank decided to eliminate the potential problem going forward.

Coin Star charges a percentage...

You're right. A couple of months ago I got a credit from TD from the lawsuit settlement. I think it was about 30 cents. The lawyers, of course, got millions.

Some Coinstar machines will waive the counting fee if you take payment in a gift card. YMMV.

Just went on Coinstar's website - YES - you can select an EGift instead of getting cash and paying for the service.

Seems each kiosk has different participating stores.

Taking a big jar of change there today.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up.

Gave it some more thought.

I had over $200.00 in coins and did not want to take the e gift and then wait until I wanted to buy something at the store that was participating.

Being that I had an account at Bethpage Federal Credit Union - I went there - no cost, no E gift.

They were extremely nice as well.

We just roll them and take them to our bank.
Just cashed in nearly a grand in coins.
That crap was damn heavy.
