Rainmachine sprinkler controller the best out there? Any others to look into?
I have Hunter C, but like someone posted, the rain sensors are totally useless!

Look up Country Irrigation. They gave me a quote similar to this. I didn't have the money for this yet but it was a better rate than anyone else

The Rachio is also highly rated. I recommend reading this article: https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/be...er-controller/

I bought the RainMachine because I prefer the display on the unit itself. I don’t always walk around with my phone especially in the summer, so I appreciate the local touch screen on the RM.

But you can’t go wrong with either one

We have the Rainmachine mini-8 and a comparable Rachio 8-zone is a good $60 more. Seems like the only benefit to the Rachio is Amazon Alexa or Google Home integration.

You can sometimes find the Rainmachine for only $109.

It was a tough choice between the RainMachine & Rachio.
After extensive reach, I decided to go with the RainMachine HD12.

There is a $50 water credit with Suffolk County water Authority if you purchase one of these devices. I also received a $30 promo code from ordering directly from the company. Amazon had it for $205. I went to order it the next day, it went up to $239! I emailed the company & they sent me a $30 promo code to order from them directly. Just have to wait a few days to arrive from CA (No Amazon Prime, lol) No biggie.

I will sell my Hunter Pro C. So all said & done, it probably cost me about $100 +/-

Installation is very simple: take a picture of your old sprinklers with the wires installed. Have fun!
