Rates are good, but the closing costs in NY are ridiculous. Make sure you run the numbers on a online calculator to see if its even worth it.

TFCU had great rates and the closing costs were competitive, but they were a gigantic PITA to deal with. I had to deal with a shady sellers agent who purposefully dragged her feet AND the bank who was impossible to make anything happen immediately. I would have closed a month earlier if it wasn't for one or both of those situations.

I have never had a good experience with BFCU whether in person at a branch or on the phone. I only have 25 years left on my mortgage with them...
