Long Island Historical Store? (Huntington, Bethpage: closing, shops, best)

Are there any stores around the island that sell things related to Long Island's history? Not necessarily vintage antiques, but things like books, maps, nicker-nacks, and the like?

First one that comes to mind would be the gift shop at the Long Island Museum in Stony Brook.

Is it possible to get to the gift shop at Old Bethpage Restoration without paying to get into the museum?

The Montauk Lighthouse sells stuff like that, if you want to travel that far. I think museum gift shops are going to be your best bet.

Last time I was in Book Revue in Huntington they had a small section with books on the history of LI.

Go to the Arcadia Publishing website. They sell many books on Long Island and other regions. You often see their books in gift shops on the East End.

Was at OBVR two nights ago and noticed the gift shop is now in the main building, looks like it is accessible without paying admission.
