For $1800 dollars you could drive down here to Virginia, have it done, stay overnight, and still pay less for everything than your local quote....
You mean fly, rent a car, stay at a nice hotel & enjoy some great food while the dog is at the vet for up to two days and still end up with a lower bill. I vote for Springfield Veterinary Center.

Springfield is good but way too expensive, 3 Chopt is great and far more reasonable...
I paid $125 for the scaling including anesthesia just south of Charlotte, NC. Sounds like you could have a nice getaway, have the dog's teeth cleaned, and still have change from the $1800.
Don't remember the exact price but I remember that my sister's dog had the full blood work and cleaning for around $400 at Quality Vet Care in Elmont. They were also very reasonable when my cat needed surgery (compared to what I have heard others had paid for similar services). I realize it doesn't help much now, but for future reference, February is consider dental health care month and many vets offer deals on dental care then.
That is an absurd quote. I have two Chihuahuas who unfortunately are prone to dental issues and have to have their teeth cleaned annually. I take mine to Dr Hopkins at Meadowbrook animal hospital in Freeport. She is GREAT. She truly cares about the animals and is very reasonable. I think it was about $400 each (with blood work and multiple extractions) Good luck.
Joanne is also correct above, they also offer discounts Feb-March.
my vet has dental month in february like 20% off we did it then bc he also had a skin tag on his eye I wanted to remove so they did that too while he was out. The whole thing cost me about 600
