Can anyone tell me if Rowing Street in Patchogue is safe and if it flooded during Sandy?

Safe? That's a determination you need to make for yourself, by actually going to Patchogue and seeing the street for yourself and deciding whether you feel comfortable there, not by asking a bunch of strangers on the internet.

Flooding? Google "Sandy flood map Patchogue". Also, use your common sense. Was the entire first level of the home redone all sparkly new less than two years ago, while the bathroom upstairs is 20 years old? I'll give you three guesses as to why that would be.

As we've told you previously, you're at the point where what you need is a real estate agent.

I called the RE agent and still hasn't gotten back to me. It's a short sale and the place looks really really old.

I live in Patchogue with my girlfriend and we love it, yes there's crime but it's nowhere near as bad as people on here would tell you. There's crime everywhere. Two people were shot in Garden City a couple days ago. Patchogue is a great place, and on the upward swing.

HOWEVER.

Rowing Street is not part of the village, it's in East Patchogue. What does that mean? I don't know, my impression of East Patchogue is that it's not so great, similar to neighboring Bellport (Bellport village aside). I also don't go there very often, so maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know if I'm looking at the wrong street, or if you care, but just remember that if you do look into here, it's not Patchogue, it's East Patchogue.

Echoed.
Also live in Patchogue Village.

To add, drive down and take a look at the street. Your neighbors play a major factor in the general safety of the street. No, street view doesn't count.

Rowing Street is off South Country Road. While I don't know the immediate neighborhood, the portion of Bellport Village just to the east is a nice area as are most other neighborhoods off of South Country Road.
