Lame comment from an uninformed poster who probably just posts to see his nickname in lights. That corner has been an eyesore since the diner closed. There is actually a lack of places to eat in the area, and a lot of people work in the area. It's not like MCR in Selden/Centereach with every fast food/sitdown restaurant imaginable. This is good for the area, not bad.

I lived in that area for awhile and it was definitely short on dining venues on 454 near Macarthur...a couple of diners and McDonalds and some really crappy strip mall Pizza joints. The area actually needs this.

Moderator cut: name-calling not allowed on c.d.

I can name name 2 good pizza places within 2 mins of the airport. Oh wait lacking other foods?...Let's see the 5 delis, subway, momma Mia's Italian restaurant, McDonald's, hero express, 2 Chinese places and Applebee's isn't enough food options? Give me a break.

Good to fix the eye sore yes, but not for the lack of food options. Let's be real.

It was a restaurant before, whats with the issue of being one again? Would we rather have another CVS or Walgreens? Or maybe another TD bank?

I'm just saying that I don't think there is a lack of food options in the area, especially pizza or Italian. But that's my opinion, what the hell do I know?

What would you propose they put there? A CVS? Rite-Aid? Maybe another bank? You can never please everyone, and you're a great example of that.
