Hi there,

Does anyone know what the approximate moving cost would be from Manhattan (one bedroom apt) to a house on Long Island (Nassau)? Also, I am open to any recommendations you may have for movers.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Lots of variables here.

Examples:
Use of elevator in NYC required? Union building? Access time (evenings or weekend)? On Long Island: ground floor? second floor?
Also, some people can fit a lot of stuff into a one bedroom apartment We don't know how much "stuff" you have...

When I moved from a one bedroom in Queens to a house in Rockland (a similar distance from Manhattan to Nassau) last year, the most commonly recommended movers were Flat Rate and Oz. I got quotes from both and they were around $1600 - $1700. This was for a rather large one bedroom with a LOT of furniture, records, books, etc.
