I am in need of new prescription glasses. A co-worker mentioned that BJs has decent glasses at great prices, but I'm wary of the quality and durability of the lens (not so much the frame). I wear my glasses daily, for everything, so having a good pair is important. Has anyone used BJs before? Or does anyone know of a reasonably-priced local shop in the Merrick/Bellmore area?
The best quality for the price that I have found comes from Warby Parker. I tried on their frames in one of their NYC stores and then ordered distance glasses online. They obtained the prescription directly from my ophthalmologist and in a few days, my glasses arrived at a cost of $95 delivered, including the lenses. When they finally offer bifocals and progressives (the sales people say they are coming soon), this company will blow the others out of the water. There will no longer be any reason to pay several hundred dollars per pair from the eyeglass monopoly.

100% agree. been using them for a few years now and they are consistently great. product AND customer service... and no way to beat their prices on glasses and sunglasses.
