This was just covered this past Fall. Don't remember the specifics, but there was some good info in there. Use the search function. I did end up bookmarking one of the places listed: Prianti Farms Seasoned Firewood
How about no where since all your fireplace does is stink up the neighborhood preventing us from the luxury of opening our windows because of the rank from the smoke.

You keep your windows open during the winter months? You must have a crazy high gas/oil bill!
I love the smell of a fireplace. I could probably add one to my house but I would have to knock down my garage.

Is their wood bugs free ? I store wood in the garage and few logs next to the fireplace. I did not see any pricing on the site, do you have any idea ?

lol.... I would suggest you find out what your neighbors are burning, it does not seem like firewood to me.
To the weekend enthusiast I would recommend lifirewood.com but they are freakin' expensive.
I am happy with the quality of wood though and its bug free.

Second for lifirewood - the quality is top notch. It's always bone dry (kiln dried, then stored indoors!) and bug free, and packed neatly into bags that are easy to carry. I store mine in my shed and garage. 1/4 cord lasts all winter for burning during when company is over, and you never have to worry about it being wet or difficult to light. Burns hot and clean.
If you're burning firewood for warmth though, you'll probably need to make different arrangements.

Sorry, I never contacted them or ordered from them. When I last looked at the website, they had a "flyer" on the webpage with prices listed. I honestly don't remember what they were, but I remember them being lower than some of the prices I had seen listed in the thread.

I've used Prianti before. The wood is good but they sell face vs full cords. On site they sell it by the piece.
I would have also recommended Cerabino in Islip but if you're looking to pick it up yourself, don't rely on the so-called "office hours" on their website. They show up when they feel like it.
