The guy that hit him is proably a union thug and the reason for the attack was because the guy from Florida is non-union.

We have 30 men from our area that are away from their homes and families trying to restore electric service to the residents in your state. One told his wife they get cheers when they come into an area. Not everyone is acting this way.

We don't need unions down here to have our electric companies pay a good wage. My father-in-law worked for them for years and this friend said her husband is making lots of money working so many hours. She just hopes he gets home for Thanksgiving.

Not to downplay their accomplishments, but most of the non union linemen come here knowing they'll get those long hours at prevailing rate. Thanks to the union.

You just can't play nice can you? Gotta be better and right. But our men are both better and right and don't need a union judging from the homes they live in. This is just one small assignment for them. Most of their income is non-union and it treats them well. So you are downplaying for no reason. Really sad you feel you needed to do that.

My husband worked for a union company for a short time. He said the union was worse than the company. He left the company just as soon as he found another job. That particular plant went on strike right after he left. It is no longer operating. He worked for the other company 27 years.

When the employees tell the employer what to do is like having the tail wag the dog. Most dogs can do without a tail.

Kind of agree. I think most do it for:
a) the extra work no one (particularly in the trades) wants to pass up. regardless of the union or non-union wage. Work is work.
b) the added benefit of knowing they are helping in a crisis...and getting paid for it.

As far as jail time...well if this guy was offended by the lineman's "penis being out"...he should love county...
The worker was right in the parking lot of a restaurant that has a public bathroom available, not miles from the nearest restroom and desperate.

Classless dirtbag.

However, I don't think it warranted a beating like he got.

Yeah you'd think he would also want to wash his hands too before eating.

No instead pee in the parking lot and march right to the table to eat ... ewww.

Can't argue. Just saying, he's not familiar with the area. There might have been a line (he had 8 others with him). He maybe really HAD to go.

The fact remains he's a blue collar guy from Lakeland. Not to stereotype, y'all heaa

Somewhere in all of this, is there any point you're trying to make to me?
