Normally, I would not mind them. But they have made big holes in the leaves of the hortas and some other plants around the yard, and I don't like that.

Read about the beer, salt or coffee grind methods... Will see - plan to use literally Petri dishes with beer around - slug party this weekend.

I have a bunch of chipmunks in my wood pile.

No reason to have a garden here because the cute little jerks and the squirrels will eat everything.

Leave out invites to a kegger over on Kelly Quad. Maybe they'll slide over there instead!

I planted several hundred daffodils when I first moved into my house. The squirrels uprooted most of the bulbs; those bulbs fortunate enough not to be molested would grow in the spring -- only to have a squirrel knock the flower off. Grrrr!

My chipmunks love eating the rootballs of beloved evergreens, so that they actually start to list before dieing off.

This is the first season in years that I may actually have some vine-ripened tomatoes, since I have yet to see a rabbit yet. Usually, within minutes of turning deep orange/red, the tomatoes wind up with a little bite.

My wife saw her first chipmunk 8 yrs. ago at my house in WNY. She's from Wantagh. I've been here 8 yrs. now and don't recall seeing any chipmunks. Levittown had squirrels and racoons. Nesconset has more rabbits than squirrels (in our yard). No chipmunks. Lots of black butterflies but no chipmunks. Cicadas, crickets, no chipmunks. Did I mention there are no chipmunks?

(just compensating for all the slug comments, lol)
