You must not have been to Queens lately.

Last week.

Although my last cousin just moved from Douglaston to Rocky Point(due to cost of living) and loves it out here.

I like a few select towns in Nassau(GC being one of them)but other than that its Queens to me.

To each his own. I personally can't stand the demographic shifts, the no-English signs, the McMansions, and the fugly brick multi-family, single-family replacements going up all over. Every front lawn is fair game to paving it seems. It's not like it was when I was growing up...Nassau trumps it big time, in my opinion. I love GC, but you never know...I may move out to RP someday!

You know what it is, I look at Great Neck,Valley Stream, Elmont, Hicksville etc Im like WTF happened to Nassau.
Its a shame.

Anyway we'd love to have you out here but Shoreham Village would probably be a better fit coming from GC.
(Although you could be waterfront here in the high 5s)

: )

Cheers

Why Shoreham Village? Looked up some things..nice, but don't know much about it.

And I agree with you..Nassau is not what it used to be. I hope I made the right decision not to move out East. We liked Northport and Smithtown a lot. I still really love GC, but we'll see.

Gateway to the North Fork/Accessible by Wm Floyd Pkwy
Nice Beaches/Ample zoning/Great Schools
Very upscale.(a little bit snooty for us but very, very nice....think Setauket but still a bit hidden)

Go see it...you'll get it.
You can eat off the roads there.

Nice Village Amenities etc.
(only half the town is in the Village)

Have dinner at La Plage too.

Does Shoreham have a village ? I didn't know that. Is it on 25A? I'm surprised that I never ran into it.

Not shore if clammie means there's a "main st." or that it's a part of shoreham that's incorporated. I believe it's the latter.
