Hi, just bought a home in Levittown. First time home owner and first time home heating oil customer.

I have read other posts about COD v. contract.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to recommend reputable, economical COD companies that deliver to Nassau and/or specifically Levittown.

Thanks.

www.codfuel.com

I used north pole for years. I have zero problem with them except some delivery dates can be difficult for some people who want to be there in person when they fill.

thanks for the recommendation. I also found a company, Patmos, that seemed to have a good price.

Anyone have any service men they recommend?

Codfuel.com is great. Cool Power and North Pole are both reliable and usually have the best price. ALWAYS pay cash, it's significantly less expensive. I don't have a contract, which keeps the price much lower. I do have a relatively new boiler in excellent condition so I don't feel that the contract is necessary, especially if I keep up on maintenance. My father uses a contract and he pays a good amount more per gallon than I do (my last delivery was 100 gallons at 3.52 per, before that was 3.27). He's up near $4, but he has the security of repairs if needed and no daily price change.
