Perhaps a better idea is if your car is a FlexFuel car, use E85 gas! The more that use it, the more stations will start to offer it. And 85% of it is made right here in the USofA!!!
It's just a protest, but just about every major movement in the history of this country started out with simple grass roots protests. Check your history.
+1 on this. Time and time again, me and Walter have gone back and forth - I say its price manipulation, he says its the price of refined goods that set the price. Hogwash, Goldman makes a call to buy or sell and the price moves $4 a barrel - How much effect does Wall St. have over the price of oil - I'd venture to say 40% of the price is being controlled by the puppeteer on Wall St. while O-dumbo turns a blind eye and blames the oil companies. Raise the percentage of margin to trade commodities, you'll see just how fast the air will come out of this bubble.
Continue to vote for change! 2012 is your chance to send a message to the dummies in DC.

If you want to protest - start with 1600 Pennslyvania Ave., that's where real change can happen. Check your history.

Yes, use E85 and the next time you wonder why the price of meat, chicken and pork have skyrocketed, just look to your car gas tank full of E85 made with ethanol. For those who don't know how ethanol is made, well, you take corn - the same corn that might have fed a cow, pig or chicken and now you divert it to make ethanol. Since the amount of corn supply is finite - meaning extremely limited supply - you can only use what has been grown, the demand has skyrocketed leading to sharp increases in the price of corn. Want to eat steak - now you have to pay more, need to feed your growing family - have to pay more, why? because the geniuses who buy cars that need E85 are using your CORN!!!
BTW, do you realize that the US Government is subsidizing the production of ethanol - without that subsidy it would be uneconomical to be running E85 gas. The biggest detractors of economic growth - you guessed it - the US Government and your local corn council.
I applaud your effort, but most of the posters here are correct... Sales would never be calculated on a daily basis, and the oil companies would not flinch,... They dont care when you buy the gas, as long as you buy it.... They cannot change the price of crude
You realize what you are advocating is the total shutdown of the US economy. Check your history, I believe that is an "act of treason" - betraying your country and it's puppeteers. How could you?
