We used Bay Shore Moving when we moved - can't say enough good things about them. Our move was out of state, and they did us a huge favor of keeping our stuff on the truck as long as possible since we had a delay in closing. Not one thing was lost or damaged. THey are the local affiliate of Allied.

I really liked the guy from Verity but they were $500 more on the quote than Bay Shore. And Bay SHore charged me $300 less than their quote, when all was said and done.

As you pointed out, a quote is just that - a guideline. Verity has charged less than their quote as well, but you should really only compare it as apples to apples and unless you have two identical moves, that's not possible

I don't know anything about Bay Shore Moving, so I can't comment one way or the other.

Verity assured me that Bay SHore would charge me at least $300 more than their quote and it wasn't possible to move my stuff for what they had quoted. I'm not looking to p*ss on your reco, just putting the facts out there. Based on what Verity told me about Bay SHore, I had no faith he'd move me for less than his quote. I did like the guy though. Came off as very honest and trustworthy despite being 100% wrong when all was said and done.

If your moving out of state, they really *********! They are the only legal hijackers in the world. They quote you a price and then weigh your stuff and boom it's at least 600- 1500 more than the original quote What are you going to do after the spent 6 hours removing your stuff, ask them to put it back It's a shady business and a good con as well.
