Good Guy automotive in island Park. I've been there twice and both times I was prepared to pay a lot of money for 2 major, but different jobs. The job was honest with me, did the work that was require and didn't rip me off.

For example, I went there because my drivers side power window didn't work anymore. I thought I was going to have to replace the motor and I was prepared to pay for that. The guy just took the door apart and cleaned everything up and it works great now. No motor replacement, but He totally could of replaced it anyways like what most mechanics do.

If you are afraid of getting ripped off would try a shop that is not independently owned by one guy who makes all the profit.

STS Tire & Auto, Sears, Walmart, Costco

The guys who serve you behind the counter dont really have much to profit by ripping you off for something you dont need.

Granted the mechanics themselves usually make a small commission, but the manager I believe is usually on salary.

yes, i can back that up, olympic on long beach road, the guy is a true 'believer' and has integrity unlike some mechanics that repair and take your money never solving the problem. God bless!
