How is the Commute? Bellerose to Melville (Garden City, Mineola: home, garden)

What should I expect from the commute from Western Nassau to Rte. 110 Melville (right off the LIE)? Standard 9-to-5 hours. How long will it take me each way? Is it better to leave earlier and stay later? I know Long Island traffic is unpredictable, but I'm looking for the average picture.

You will be going against traffic. I would say it might take you around 35 mins. Also you will be coming home against traffic.

I was just on the LIE today at 5pm heading Eastbound and we were moving ok, and WESTBOUND was flying.

So I say 35 mins apx.

I used to commute from western Garden City to Melville and that was about 25-30 minutes but my office was practically ON the LIE, in fact it was on the service road. Add time if you need to use Route 110.

My experience, Mineola to Melville took an average of 20 to 25 minutes each way. Jericho to Melville takes 10-15 minutes.
