I seem to recall that you owned a home in Fort Salonga ("Northport, NY 11768" mailing address); although you didn't know it at the time and you thought (and, I suspect you will still argue that) you were living in "Northport".
While I appreciate the technicalities, those who are local to the area would never consider Crab Meadow to be part of Fort Salonga. And, while it may be technically incorrect, many people do use a Fort Salonga, NY 11768 mailing address. We could go back and forth forever, but, no offence, I prefer to reference places by the names that are used by the people who live there.

Does the same rule apply to English grammar, spelling, umpiring or refereeing a sporting event, playing poker, etc., etc., etc., or just to geography?

FYI - fairly high RE taxes in Ft. Salonga. But very pretty area.

I have a friend - more of a recent acquaintance - who will be selling her home in Ft. Salonga this spring because of her RE tax bill - it's over $20K, and these people just can't afford to pay $20K/year. The lady of the house said to me about a week ago that their tax bill has gone up $1000/year since 1999. She's in the Northport side (Town of Huntington) of Ft. Salonga.

Her house is on 1 acre and is a sizeable 2-story.

There are some areas which have clay soil. What street(s) are you looking on?

That seems high for 1 acre taxes unless the house is either newer contribution or was recently expanded. ~2500+ sf colonials with 1 acre taxes are ~13-15k on Huntington side of Fort Salonga near me. What is the assessment (easy enough to check online) of your friends property, might be grievable which would help her sale.

The part of Fort Salonga that I am familiar with is off Bread and Cheese Hollow Rd. My boss used to live on Hastings Dr./Concord Ave, one of her
neighbors was one of the family members of the P.C Richard store chain.

It was an adventure driving on the Sunken Meadow Pkwy during the winter.

Around 20 years ago, my mom caught my dad banging some lady who lived in Fort Salonga. That's all I got.
