My husband and I just started looking into Lehigh County last weekend. Like most, we will determine where we live by the school districts. Right now we’re thinking of the Macungie and Nazareth area. I see so many new develops and the prices are amazing compared to Hunterdon County NJ. I’d love to stay here but I just can’t stomach paying 12k - 14k in property taxes. Anyways, we’d like to know what part of Lehigh will fit our needs. First, we’re looking for a good school system, a house with some property, highly recommend home builder and a good family community.

Macungie is in East Penn School district. Here is a recent thread:

Nazareth and Macungie are both growing rapidly, but Macungie and the East Penn School district are generally thought to have better schools. You can compare their stats at this site:
