I only know people that build whole houses. My husband does all the repairs around our house. Can you ask the people that live around you?

My cousin's company does all kinds of general contracting, but I think he might be high end. Chiles and Sillivan.

The Lehigh Valley is ripe with thousands of very honorable, highly skilled, and extremely motivated tradesman; the problem is that just like you everyone wants a DEAL these days, and thus general contractors now (aka: skilled trade middlemen) may no longer be your best route.

First, decide what you want done, specifically; and then seek out a carpenter, plumber, electrician, etc. yourself. Second, talk to your municipal code officer; they know who is going to do the work you want done to completion and to code in your area. Third, remember, you get what you pay for; and your budget will ultimately determine the scope of work that you can do.

For general contracting, B. MacDonald and Son, 900 Jacobsburg Road, Wind Gap, phone (610) 759-1688 or
(610) 863-5013,

or William P. Hontz, General Contractor, 1034 Cressman Road, Bangor, PA 18064 (610) 588-7740

I have seen both of their work and would highly recommend either of them. In addition, my dad works in the building supply business and has for many years, so I checked with him first. Give a call - most of the good guys are booked up in advance, and lots of luck to you.

What kind of work do you need done?
I know people for each of the following: windows, brick/concrete, siding, drywalls, painters and on and on. So let me know!
Slatebelt area is my home grounds! I miss it, enjoy it for me please!

If you're looking for concrete work (decorative or plain) the best contractor in the Leigh Valley in my opinion is Joswick Concrete. The work he did for my neighbors and I is beautiful. The company is very personable, genuine and legitimate. They are also very patient as I visited their showroom multiple times and went to look at six different jobs from satisfied customers. If this is what your looking for I highly recommend checking it out.
