I've often wondered about this. If I was younger, I think I could have moved to and liked living in Montreal, Quebec.

Seriously, though, you have these two English-speaking North American countries with a lot of similarities - university curricula, suburbs, cars, professional license reciprocity, 3 digit area codes, freeways, right-side driving, and a whole lot more.

So, what does it take to immigrate from the US to Canada or from Canada to the US? Are there things working in one's favor? Are there things working as demerits?

Please comment/discuss.

I wish any Canadian/American could live and work freely anywhere in those two countries without any VISA etc.

I would love to live in Montreal as well!
