Are there any area hotels that welcome locals as guests in the pool area other than the "topless" pools? If not free, do any sell any kind of passes or anything?

I would think they want to keep the pools for the people staying in the hotel only, so they don't complain about overcrowding, could be wrong though.

I would'nt mind hearing about the topless pools though!

There are several pools around town that allow locals to join in the fun. I do know that some charge a fee.

There is some good info at:

Anthony Curtis' Las Vegas Advisor

I've been to Aliante Station's pool, The Deck. It's nice.

In April, one of the news stations talked about a few casinos allowing in locals: Rio, M, and GVR.

That's good to hear, when I stayed at the Luxor Sept 2008, they had a BIG security guard that checked to see if you had a pass, before you could enter.

I was just reading the Las Vegas Sun online...looks like these things are really taking off. Seems ideal for Las Vegas as well. Next best thing to having a beach.

Actually, come to think of it, what more could you want? Pools, drinks, swimwear....might even be better than the beach!

Locals can go to the M.. however depending on the day and time there is a fee.. about 20 bucks... Yesterday, there were 3000 people at the pool.. The hotel is jamming.. Never would guess about the economy.

J. W Marriott should still be free and open to locals

DAMN! That's a party!

From the little I've read from the Las Vegas Sun...it sounds very 'adult-oriented...i.e. drink bars, etc. Or am I wrong about that?

If you are a female stripper you can get into any pool at any hotel.

Saw a ton of locals heading into the Las Vegas Hilton's pool last Wednesday. I believe admission was free, but I can't find an ad for the event.
