From today's RJ...interesting article

Apartment rents in Las Vegas rose slightly in the first quarter, part of a national trend in which 36 of 41 metropolitan statistical areas showed an increase in rents, California-based RealFacts reported Tuesday.

Apartment rental rates climb as jobs market improves - Business - ReviewJournal.com

And really, we should be telling those that want info on moving to Las Vegas to really go to Texas, look at the last lines of the article.

Head to Texas people! LOL!!

Rents at the 4 apartments I was looking at in Denver went up around 5% in a matter of a few weeks and most of the promotions they had disappeared almost overnight. Might be a seasonal thing here, but it was kind of shocking. I ended up renting a condo from a landlord instead, they didn't seem to go up much and there still seems to be a decent supply of them.

MomMom, were you born and raised in Las Vegas? You always seem to make a "slick remark" about others moving to Las Vegas....I'm just curious.

I love new people coming here, they bring new business, new money, new attitudes. I was new 1 yr ago. I brought my money, my business and my dog. Do you want me to leave?
Btw I gave my renters 100.00 off the rent until things get easier on them. They wanted to know why? LOL

I've been here over 30 years. What's a slick remark?

The article stated that Texas has jobs and their economy is much better than ours. So....people should be moving to where the jobs are, right?

Isn't that what most of the new posters ask...are there jobs here? Is the school district good? How is the Las Vegas economy? Isn't that the Number One complaint from newbies on here...THEY CAN'T GET A JOB!!!

Hey, I'm the Number One cheerleader for Las Vegas and I often take a lot of heat for it from the numerous naysayers on here, so here I am recommending a place that according to the article in the paper is doing better than our economy.

Any more questions? Are YOU still considering a move to Las Vegas?

Who the heck is telling you to leave?

And honestly, if that's what you want to do...go for it!

And if you love it here, by all means... stay and enjoy!

Leases on SFRs exceed listings. An unheard of event.

Try Again...
