HI guys,

I'm moving to Las Vegas in May and I'm currently trying to find a place to rent. Is there anywhere that has furnished places to rent? I'm coming from Ireland so I won't have anything with me and it would cost a lot to buy everything needed for the house.
Renting in Ireland is different and nearly all rental homes come furnished so I don't have much furniture even if I did want to bring it.

What are the best sites to see rentals? Also what would be an average price to pay per month for a 2/3 bedroom place? There are two of us and we don't have a job sorted yet so don't want to spend a fortune on rent or buying stuff immediately.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Personally, I'd stay at an extended stay place like budget suites. Than you're free to look at places when you get here. It shouldnt take more than a week or two to get a feel for the areas you like and to find something longer term.

I'd like to know this as well. We're bringing two small dogs while we're looking for a house and the extended stay places we drove by (that allowed pets) didn't seem to have any place to walk them.

I would also suggest the extended stay places as a start. After a couple of weeks there you have a much better lay of the land.

At the low end The Budget Suites...i prefer the ones on Trop at Wynn or on Rancho.

A little higher in price is the Extended Stay America on Valley View by the Rio.

Up further there are the La Quintas and Marriot Courtyards.

At the high end there are a couple of executive suites...

Note also that the neighborhood casinos provide rationally inexpensive lodging...The JW Marriot for instance is as nice as anywhere if you catch a good rate.

Furnished places vary widely. It also makes a difference if someone is older than 55...

Default Try corporate housing

You might want to try corporate housing also. Some companies that I know of in Las Vegas, 702 Housing, Housing Helpers of Las Vegas, South West Property Management, and the Meridian (a single site location that has fully furnished condos, like extended stay). I will always try 702 Housing first because they have a wide variety of options and the units that I have stayed in have been the nicest for a good price. The Meridian is nice too, but limited to one location and the prices are much higher.

Look on vrbo and Craigslist- search furnished. That's how we found ours when we moved here. Vrbo we contacted the owner and made a three month rental deal.

Aside from being a thread dead for three years good advice.

I just came across one in Pecole Ranch with a secret room. The private theater is hidden behind a bookcase set in a stone wall....

Nice house but not cheap.

Default I'm heading to Vegas sept, staying in a furnished condo

The tread was dead for 3 years, now it's alive! I'm booking my housing in September through these guys again. I like the Henderson properties better, but the vegas units are cheaper. Here is a link to it, worth checking them out. Las Vegas Corporate Housing Availability - Las Vegas Corporate Housing702 Housing
