Is there any adult dental clinics that are based on a sliding scale fee in Summerlin area? Also that include preventitive care root canals & cavities?

Do you mean based upon income? I'm not familiar with any office that does that but I could be wrong. The dental school is a great way to receive dental treatment for much discounted prices but you have to have the time.

I was able to locate a website that lists many sliding scales dental facilities in the valley. It is called Needy Meds at NeedyMeds. I cannot verify anything about any of these clinics but it is always worth a phone call. Also as I stated earlier, if you have time, the dental school is a great resource. The students are monitored by licensed dentists and you will get quality care (they won't let you leave if the student does not provide appropriate care) but appointments are ususally quite long so bring a good book. Also you are providing much needed practice to the future dentists here in Las Vegas.

Also, bearnfawn you probably need an oral surgeon not an orthodontist for your extractions. Orthodontists do braces. If you have not already seen a general dentist you may want to start there. if you were told that your condition was out of the scope of the general dentist then of course seek out the oral surgeon. Good luck!

For the root canal you are going to have to go to a endodontist. If you let the students do that or another dentist, be prepared to return to the dentist for the same issue later.

Mexico isn't exactly the safest place to be going to for dental care these days.

I think the PM needs to have the roots removed, not a root canal. At least that is what was written. This would be an OS. I wouldn't recommend Mexico either unless you have family or friends who can verify the doctor for you.

Not sure why people think that going to the dental school is so bad. Did you have a bad experience? They have highly trained staff available. I it just like anything in life however. There are good dentists and there are bad ones/good experiences and bad experiences.

I have to tell you I had a VERY positive dental (and surgical) Experience in Thailand
They are also about 1/6th the price of their American counterpart with 2000% better facilities.

the airfare there is $1000, but with the cheaper prices they charge there, you would still save a fortune VS doing it 'stateside' -- I know this has nothing to do with Las Vegas, so DM me if you have any questions.
