As stated in several other threads, it is one of the nicest old neighborhoods in Las Vegas, after Alta Drive and maybe McNiel.

Hi there! Check out this thread:

https://www.city-data.com/forum/las-v...e-hunting.html

Paradise Palms is one of my favorite areas. I love the architecture and the character. It's convenient and yet quiet. I think it's a great place to live. Spend some time there and see what you think. Seems like most here agree that it's a nice place. However I posted about this on another forum and people said I had to be nuts to live there. Said there was a lot of crime and gangs. I spent last weekend there and it wouldn't bother me to ride my bike, or walk the dog. I wasn't intimidated at all. I think it all depends on your perspective.

I sent it to you in a PM!

I think these folks are into the new clonehome areas. And quite a few are very afraid of city living. Any city!

We moved here in February. It's a great neighborhood - safe, and central to Vegas hot spots. The people here have a real community... it's not just filled with transients that come and go every two years.

The surrounding area is rich with ethnic grocery stores, and old-time Las Vegas hangs.

La Bonita on Desert Inn and Seafood City on Maryland are 2 great ethnic stores in that area...Until Dunkin' Donuts comes to town, the panaderia at La Bonita makes donuts that taste just like Dunkin' Donuts...Seafood City has great fish at good prices, great selection too...

Paradise Palms is in my opinion a fantastic neighborhood! Actually built by a prominant developer Irwin Molasky, these homes once won an award for the way the subdivision was created.

Tune in....the golf course that surrounds this neighborhood is currently in escrow...approximately 133 acres. It is uncertain who the buyer is or what the plans are. Tons of media coverage have been surrounding this subject and I atteneded the neighborhood meeting they had they other night to get insight from the County Commissioner.

Its a tight group of residents there....but new and old...but most are very proud to call that area home.
