Anyone know where I can buy 6 in 1 canned tomatoes in Las Vegas? In the SF Bay area Safeway and Whole Foods carry them, but I've checked Vons and Whole Foods, and Albertsons and Smiths, and no one has them. Here is what they look like:

Please don't tell me to buy San Marzano tomatoes; every brand I've tried has citric acid added which makes them tart. 6 in 1 has no citric acid added, which makes them better than any other canned tomato product for sauces, IMHO.

If I can't find these locally I'm seriously thinking about shipping myself a case when I head back to CA for a few days.

I've never seen them in the stores Mediocre. And I go to all of them you mentioned.

Looks like a nice product, have you tried to find them at Trader Joe's?

Looks like you can order them online as well

I haven't seen those anywhere, and not at Trader Joe's either. looks like you will have to order online or bring some back when you visit San Francisco. I would also like some without citric acid so I can compare the taste.

Dunno if they are available in Vegas but try looking for POMI brand too - no citric acid either.

I've heard that some people have found them in Italian delis when no local grocery store carried them. Also one desperate person (in another city) was able to buy a couple cans off a local pizzeria. I'll be in the Bay Area next week, I'll just box up a case and take them on the plane or ship them to myself.

I think they're right there on the shelf...between the 5-in-1 and the 7-in-1...which is also a little past the the 3-in-one lubrication oil. Also, you could always buy the 12-in-2 and cut it in half.

Citric acid is used to making canning easier. A common canning process requires a certain level of acidity and tomatoes' natural acidity is borderline. Without enough acidity you get rotten tomatoes. The tomatoes without citric acid added are canned via more expensive process.

FWIW: Pomi is also available at Whole Foods in CA, but I've never seen them at Whole Foods in NV. I've been checking my carry-on and bringing a few cans of 6-in-1 out every time I fly in. I made pasta sauce last night using one can of 6-in-1 and one box of Pomi chopped tomatoes - most excellent.
