Hi there. My husband has been with Pepsi for 6+ years. It is very possible that we will be doing a job transfer to Las Vegas this summer. We really want to move there! We just want to be sure that Pepsi is not laying off employees in Las Vegas. We don't want him to be the first on the chopping block right after he gets there. Has anyone heard anything about this with Pepsi there? Also, has anyone heard if Pepsi has a good reputation with employees there in general? Any information or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, my husband is a field technician for Pepsi

I'd be curious as to the answer to this question regarding Pepsi as well.

Never hurts to be updated on something new about a Vegas employer.

Thanks

These are the jobs listed at pepsi bottling for Vegas area...no idea if they're valid or not. For those interested you can search the whole country there. PBG Careers

I would assume pepsi and coke are recession proof. Especially in a city full of tourists living out of hotel rooms and eating out all the time. Some people would spend there last dollar to drink that slop instead of a nice cold glass of water...If you have, like a week to waste... I'll tell you all about high fructose corn syrup

I bet Vegas goes through more "cola" every day, just as mixers in their bars than many states do in a week.

Thanks so much for the replies!

thecuse~ You're probably right...if anything is recession proof, it's probably Pepsi and Coke. People sure do love their soda! It's funny though that my husband works for Pepsi and I hardly drink soda. I'm like you, I like my water. He on the otherhand...yikes! However, I know that Pepsi was recently cutting jobs from the top, so I was worried about the trickle down effect.

Zemmine~ I would really love to talk to you! So happy to hear that everything is stable there. I will definitely be taking you up on your offer and getting in touch with you soon. Thanks!
