Hi all!

Sorry if this subject has already been talked about...

I'm closing on a house next week. It is an REO property, and it's pretty filthy! I'm looking for someone to clean the house and the backyard.

It is a two-story house on a 6100 sf lot. It's 1953 sf, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath, plus a loft. I'm looking for everything to be cleaned. I guess I don't need the carpets to be cleaned, because I'm going to rip it all out and put in new flooring. So it's the bathrooms, kitchen, walls, and the backyard. That actually doesn't have any landscaping it's all dirt...there's just old poop everywhere, as well as some minor debris.

Does anyone have someone they would recommend for cleaning? I don't suppose you guys would have an idea how much this sort of thing costs... I have a figure in mind, but I've not done the research myself.

Many thanks in advance!

Edited to add: I'm not interested in employing illegal aliens, by the way. I would not mind paying an individual rather than a company, but please, no illegals!

Yeah... I've looked at Craigslist. I was hoping for a referral, though.

You can try TM Cleaning Services. Teresa @ 702-378-6330. Also Lopez Painting & epoxy, Luis @ 702-773-3229. The only thing I can tell you about Lopez is that I ran into him recently preping an REO. He was contracted by a well known local real estate company that now owned the house. The cleaning service is on the flip side of his business card. He said they are preping 6-8 homes a month. I don't know if that is a lot. I guess it depends on exactly what they have to do to the house. Good luck.

added: You may also want to try www.kudzu.com for a listing of local businesses. People that use services from Kudzu also rate the vendor.
