I have a pal that lives close to the stratosphere hotel and he mentioned that green valley is a nice community and I have been looking at some apartment and they are close to whitney ranch. I read that someone said that those areas should be stayed away from....

can you guys let me know if i should move to green valley, the budget seems right for a 1-2 bd rm apt for me.

thank you

I lived in an apt. in Whitney Ranch and it was absolutely terrible. To some Green Valley is nice, to me, it is nothing special. I knew a lot of ppl that lived in apts. in Green Valley as well and they also had bad experiences, I would get an apartment closer to the SW.

Try Spring Valley. It's an older more established area, but close enough to the action of the strip.

Move to GV if it is convenient for you. There are other places that are also acceptable but there are none that are any better. Note that any particular apartment is subject to the local management and such...so try and check the out with the review services. But the GV and Whitney Ranch and Spring Valley areas are fine as far as a general area in which to live.

Green Valley is among the best when you are speaking of places in the Las Vegas valley. You can't go wrong moving there. Now individually run apartments are another issue, they have more to do with management than the location once you know you are in a good area.

This is true. But even good managers can't keep up with what everybody is doing. Apartments are high density communities where all types of people are crowded together right on top of each other. Usually it ain't purdy. Some will steal you blind and some will only steal your parking space. But you will be irritated by somebody. You will also probably make friends. I've lived in a lot of apartments and made lots more friends than I ever have living in a house. But the agravation isn't worth it and I hope I never have to live in another apartment. If I do have to live in an apartment again it will be in the Summerlin vicinity. It's cleaner and cooler and closer to the mountains. If I was into boating and the lake I would go to Green Valley which is also very nice although it is hotter.
