Hi all. Just wanted to get some advice on where you would have a semi casual wedding reception here in Vegas.

Here are the details: We are getting married in a chaple weeks prior so no wedding arrangements are needed. We are looking for an app. hour and then either buffet style dinner or a regular sit down dinner with an open bar for about 4 hours. There will be about 50-60 people from here and out of state. We are looking to spend around 3-4K give or take. Venue must be able to host a DJ and dance floor. Nothing too over the top. But nothing 3rd rate either. The date is July 10th so outdoors may be out of the question as well.

Thanks in advance guys!

I had my wedding/reception at the Tuscany Hotel on Flamingo. I had about 50 guests and used their chapel which was quite nice. The reception was in their banquet hall, it was buffet style and had open bar. Food was excellent and you chose your own wedding cake which is also included. They can make any kind of cake you want. This all came to about $3500. I'm sure they will just accomodate you for a reception with DJ without having to get married in their chapel.

Thanks for the help asia but I found a great place last week. Believe it or not we are having the reception at The Stardust Suite in the Orleans casino. I know what some of you must be thinking...The Orleans? That is exactly what I thought when someone told me about it. Then we went down to check it out and WOW. This place is beautiful. The party suite is about 2700 sq. ft. Then it opens up to another room with 2 huge master suites. All in all the place is about 4000 sq. ft. and can accomodate well over 100 people. $3900 soup to nuts....Food, Bartender, booze, cake. Unreal view of the strip from the 21st floor at night. Really looking foward to having it there.

I have never been to the Orleans... My best friend is thinking of getting married in Vegas and we are trying to just throw a reception after they do it in a little ceremony in a chapel... can you tell me how easy it was to talk to someone or how pressured you felt to actually get it? are you able to go look around and talk with them about food/alcohol/decorations without feeling like you HAVE to book it? and i guess my other question is did you look anywhere else? congrats!

Talked to Jay over there from catering. Great guy. Took us on a tour of the suite . Explained everything to us. No pressure at all. All of your catering options can be done on the website. We looked at other suites and to be honest for what we got at the Orleans for $3800 would have cost us close to $10,000 at most other strip casinos. You can look at some pictures online of this suite but it does not do it much justice.

The Orleans is my favorite LV casino...we always stay there. LV's best kept secret.
