Um, first off its college, not collage. You should definitely learn that before you get there

But aside from the numerous grammatical atrocities in this post, the best advice anyone can give you is that positive thought, a solid action plan, and coming here with savings are the most important things you can do. Good luck

Usually I don't want to be a grammarian on these boards...but...since our OP is going to go to college soon...

PUNCTUATION is another huge one. When you use a comma, you should put a space after it before the next word. Additionally, after a period, you should have TWO spaces. Also, you should hit your carriage 'return' button twice to separate each paragraph.

Anyways, a lot of this will be taught in your English classes, as probably a prerequisite for other classes. Actually I'm a bit surprised that Washington doesn't have a better public education system, but from my understanding, public education across the States has been slipping considerably.

Regardless, a community college is a great place to pick up those skills that were lacking in High School.

Why would ANYone MOVE here to go to CCSN???? NV is not know for their education [even I will admit that] and CCSN has all the draw of flypaper.

I can understand why people that LIVE here attend CCSN.....but WHAT is there to make someone MOVE here to attend?

Awwww...while I agree, give the OP a break. He or she is trying to make an effort to become educated and I have to give a big thumbs up to anyone who has the courage to do that. We all had to start somewhere and not everyone has had the same life experiences and advantages that others have had.
I wouldn't move to Vegas with pursuing an education as my main motivation BUT everyone has to start down that road somewhere. I just hope he or she is aware the job market is not strong right now so it may be difficult to find employment. Also isn't CCSN's main campus on Charleston Blvd? That is closer to the NW not the South.

Ummmm a big "Are You KIDDING?!" to everything you just said for one. simple. fact: He is asking about advice on coming to COLLEGE and thinks its spelled COLLAGE.

There is a big difference between "not everyone has had the same life experiences and advantages that others have had" and can't spell the simple word "college" ESPECIALLY WHEN HE PLANS ON ATTENDING!

It's not mean to say that if you can't spell it, and the rest of your post is grammatical suicide, maybe you need to re-attend some high school English classes first.
Alright anyways I gotta go, I'm headed to the grokeri stor to get some fuud, GudNitte

Yes, but the school he/she applies to can and will address that issue. I would imagine this is far more common than you might think and community colleges are more than willing to tack on remedial coursework for those who require it. I have seen people who were significantly lagging in education enter the system, apply themselves to get back on track, and do quite well.

OP had to be a troll. That first post was way over the top. Notice that he hasn't made another post since the first? If not a troll, he needs to repeat grades 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 before he considers college.
