I'm moving to Vegas next week with my wife and 2 kids. We currently live in LA and I just got a job at the base. I was wondering about Winchester Woods Condominiums on S. Mojave rd? is this a good area? Or a good condo community. How about the Winchester park area in general? Any info would be appreciated. Thank you

How about an address? The name does not compute.

It was Winchester Woods, when it was apartments. That is a very old property. Usual condo conversion, just cheap cover-up.

Did pest control for years, before it was turned into condos. Surprisingly they did not have a bad roach problem, just in a few isolated areas. Manager that was there really took care of the property. But they did have a major pigeon problem, so if they do not do any control now, I would assume that they still have that.

The old manager, when it was with Stout Management and when it was Winchester Woods. They use to have bad pigeons. Roaches were hit and miss. You will have that problem with all Apartments. You have to remember when you are in an apartment, you basically have 7 to 15 other families living in the same home. So what others do affect you.

Very true. But I thought with proper pest control it shouldn't be a problem?

You have to keep it up, But the roaches that you find in apartments are the worse kind (German). Most of the time the people that started the problem, will not have pest control. Which means that your problem with just be as bad. With Germans regular pest control products will not take care of the problems.

True. I haver never ever had roaches and I intend to keep it that way. I will check very thoroughly for any dead roaches or roach droppings in the cupboard floor, etc. before I take a unit. Thanks for the heads up.
