Is this really true? Even in Vegas prices seem to be around the 2000-2003 levels. Accounting for inflation, that makes them even cheaper than pricing from those years, but it doesn't seem like an all time low, especially in other parts of the country.

Olecap yes Las Vegas is different- 62% of those who bought in the last 5 years are underwater - WAY MORE AND WAY WORSE than the rest of the US. I had posted that link earlier.

Actually in some area's the prices are touching 1998 levels, this is a great time to buy . But if you have to finance you really need to keep and eye on the rates. One thing is when rates go up it does drive prices down as well as the economy right now.

I will not call myself a real estate expert but, now it certainly a great time to buy a house here in Vegas.
