I recently had a phone interview with a golf course in Las Vegas. I was getting real excited about moving to Vegas. However, the interview didn't go and I'm not sure I will hear back from them.

It was surreal, the interview asked none of the common interview questions ("Tell me about yourself", "What is your greatest weakness/strength") they said it was a 25 minute interview, and 20 minutes done when I was asking questions they said "we are out of time".

I don't want to give up hope on moving to Vegas. What sites do you recommend I use to search for positions? I know of Indeed which is a meta job search engine, CareerBuilder, Monster, Craigslist. Is there a better place to be looking? I'm not really wanting to work for a casino.

If it helps I have a Bachelor's in Business. I would love to do golf course management or a recreational related job (Boys & Girls Club, YMCA, Parks and Recreation). I don't want to do sales or a medical related job.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas employment site: Employment Opportunities (http://www.bgclv.org/main.asp?id=13 - broken link)

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada (e.g. Henderson) employment site: Employment

Nevada JobConnect (the state employment service; handles unemployment claims and also helps you find jobs). Look for America's Job Bank; I think it's also on this site:
Employment Security Division Job Seeker Services

Then you can find city or county personnel sites on your own. The county is Clark. The cities are Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, and Henderson. Look under parks and recreation.

Also, when I worked for the state I used to place people here now and then.

Go For It USA

I don't know if they need anyone right now, but they are frequently looking for good people, and the owners a very nice folks.

Hopefully, you did not provide a social security number.

Nope. In Las Vegas (entertainment capital of the world) we say "Break a leg!"

You might also try the state personnel site: Department of Personnel
