Hello,
I am talking to someone about renting a home near Pinon Pointe(2 year old neighborhood) and am moving my wife out there with me. Does anyone know if this is a safe neighborhood or not? I dont want to jump into anything if it is a dangerous area. Thank you

It is next to the intersection of Puebla ST and E San Miguel. It is like 4 or 5 miles by Nellis AFB. I have heard it isnt safe around Nellis but I was wondering how it was in this particular neighborhood.

At looking the area up on Google Maps Puebla ST and E San Miguel las vegas 89115 - Google Maps

I say no, look further west past 1-15. That is a high crime area. Metro's helicopter is often circling over that area.

Not sure of any websites for renting. There are a few "experts" on this board who I am sure will contact you. If you are military check with your sponsor, there are many adds in the base paper for houses looking for renters. Many of the ads are from people PCSing who want to rent their house.

About the helicopters, are you sure they aren't Nellis's because they have a lot of Pavehawks that often get flown around vegas

No Pavehawks, I was in the Army I know helicopters. Metro's little bird, with bright spotlight light shining down.
