I grew up in San Francisco in the 50's-60's, and have lived in LV since 1970. With Stauffer Chemical, Yucca Mt., and many others dumping waste in the area for decades, please share your knowledge of dumping in the LV area.

Perchlorate removal at 215&Stephanie as recent as 7-8 years ago comes to mind.

Mid 70's....around 1975....Vietnam was over....Stauffer was A prime supplier of Agent Orange....not a lot of buyers if there's no war....might as well dump in the desert since there's nothing to defoliate there......The hills outside Henderson would be GREAT.....

There was a toxic waste removal of perchlorate at 215&Stephanie about 7-8 years ago--a by product of rocket fuel. Nothing to do with agent orange. I have directly seen the health result of agent orange on humans---not pretty. So, we can claim Seven Hills a waste sight? Everyone associates Henderson with toxic waste---what about Lone Mt--Craig Rd?

this was way back in 75 and except for a short note in the RJ, it was kept very quiet....minor stink back then and then forgotten about. They said it was dumped "in the hills South of the Henderson Cut-off"

I'm not a chemist, but the production of agent orange, or rocket fuel must certainly result in waste matter. What better dumping ground than the "desert"?

LOL, the dumping? Follow pabco rd, then take the dirt roads down that way to Lake Las Vegas. There used to be an old chemical stream dump into and it would find it self down to Lake mead.
