Hi all. I'm a 22-year old male with an associates in Technical Communications. Currently I live in Kenosha WI, and would like to move to a city. Orginally, I was planning on moving to Chicago but my mom actually suggested Las Vegas.

I've never been to Vegas but I really do not care about moving to a place I've never been to. My mother actually moved to the United States from Mexico although she never been inside of it and shes been living here ever since (over 25 years). I really just want to leave Wisconsin because I'm absolutely tired of the country life and want to be around people who are more open-minded and don't give a **** if I'm bisexual, wear makeup, whatever.

With that said, I prefer to do things at night than during the day. My preference is towards more of the industrial goth scene, putting on make up and wearing flashy clothing/goggles/whatever. I was wondering, is there a strong underground community in Las Vegas (gothic nightclubs for instance)? I'd like to meet people who are into the same things I'm into after all =|

Not only that, but could someone recommend or at least give me some ideas of where I could find a 1bedroom/1bathroom apartment for about $600-800 (I'd prefer to live in a relatively safe area but whatever.)

Thanks.

Vegas is tolerant of any lifestyle. In fact, we don't really care about others as long you don't hurt others. But goth? You're like a decade too late. Perhaps it's new in Wisconsin but the goth thing came and went. Sure there are some who indulge into that but there really isn't a "scene" anymore. Any thought what you would do for work? Not a lot of call for Tech writers in Southern Nevada and for those rare positions, they would require a bachelors degree. Nowadays, there are a ton of people waiting inline ahead of you for good-paying casino jobs as most aren't hiring due to the economy. I really would re-think this decision. Chicago may be a wiser choice.

hi

you should go prep/casual depending on your mood

you know a maybe a polo and some jeans on a Monday b/c its the first day of the work week and on

a Friday maybe a tank top and a skirt.

I don't know really. Just some suggestions since they say goth is out. The world knows preppy and

casual clothes will never go out of style.

There are still goths here, check out the Vegas section of Meetup.com. I run two groups there, and I know that I've seen them listed. Another good choice for you would be the SF Bay Area. Less chance of your melting in the summer, and you'd practically be normal there.
