I've been to Vegas lots of times....I love the "cheese" of it. it depends on what part of the strip you want pictures from. New York New York has a good view on down the strip towards The Paris etc....Luxor has a good view as well as the Monte Carlo...

Default Re:

I would recommend going up to the Voodoo Lounge at the top of the RIO Hotel for panoramic view of the strip. I believe before 9pm there is no charge to get up there(seasoned locals may be able to answer this better)...it's at the top of the hotel.

MIX Lounge at THEHotel at Mandalay Bay is numero uno - it has an outdoor terrace area with a stupefying view northward, and it's free before 10:00 pm.

No hotel room is particularly good for photography because they coat the window glass with colored solar screens which show up a lot more in photographs than they do to the naked eye.

And don't forget the Stratosphere Tower if it's aerials you want, day or night. That is if you can stretch up over the rails a bit.

Get a room at the Bellagio strip side and over look the lagoon and water show! Plus it is pretty centrally located if you want to party on the strip you will be right there in the middle of it!
