I swore I killed one in my bathroom today. But when I took my shoe off of him, he was too squished to tell.

By the book no...way outside their range. You can however get one shipped in once in a while. So never say never.

The report of a Brown Recluse Bite is an emergency room special used for any bite they don't recognize.

No we do not. But like Olecapt says, they can be brought in but do not last that long. In the 10 years I have been in the industry, I have had one incident in an apartment complex, and it was brought in by people who had just moved from SoCal.

The one on 1/09/07, said he was in town from SoCal, so most likely he brought it in. The one on 10/06/06 does not really look like a recluse bite, and his doctor also confirmed that he was not sure what kind of bite it was. The one on 9/13/06, was actually a pest control company owner, and she said she was not sure what kind it was. But from reading, she had quite a few bites, and believed it was not a brown recluse.

There is another one that is like the recluse that a lot of people get confused with it. I think it was 5kings that got a bite from it, it is the Desert Brown Spider, which I believe is a cousin to the recluse.
