Video Poker is the same odds almost everywhere else too, not just NV. The only place it is not pure math are in the few Class II bingo markets where they have to rig the result because by nature Class II is a bingo game with an artificial result displayed on the game. Now people do question the voracity of the regulation on tribal lands with all sorts of fantasy reasoning, but the odds should be the same as implied by the paytable. IGT or Bally wouldn't want word getting out they helped a tribe mislead and defraud its customers so they make it tough with their designs for any funny business to happen.

I guess one of the ways casinos are trying to gain more revenue is to give fewer returns on the slots but still within the legal limit. Borgata advertised the loosest slots in 2007, not any more I guess.

Has anyone noticed the same happening in Las Vegas. We are booked for the New Year's holiday but are having second thoughts if the slots are as tight as AC. Seems the casinos will drive away more business if there is a noticeable lack of returns. Kind of kills the fun of playing.
I know this is an old thread, but would like to know how it stands now? Where do the locals go to have a bit of gambling fun? Other posts say the strip slots are too tight - where's a good place to go off the strip. As one other post said - even though I know I'm making a donation to the Nevada Gaming Commision - would like it to take more than 15 minutes!!

I have read all these threads on the slot machines ,,but not quite understanding .. how is it exactly how they make a machine tight and not pay off as much ..Can they make one payoff at any given time ? Is it a fact that the machines have a revolution thing a ma-gig inside it that after many pulls will bring it right back to a win . thx for some insight on my question.

I played for a bit when i was home last month from my station overseas. Could not really tell a difference between then and when i had played before throughout the years.

Actually i ended up hitting the "1000" on wheel of fortune .25 machine the first day i played (won total of like $450 on $100).. but then lost it 2 days later on $1 wheel machines. Slots are just slots... more or less completely random.
